A series of potentially dangerous deep-seated failures on a railway embankment required treatment to prevent further slips.
The geotechnical issues of ground stability were resolved using soil nailing. The surface erosion was solved by using VMax C350. C350 is a composite Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM) and was installed over prepared seeded topsoil.
The whole surface was then covered with rock netting.
The C350 is a permanent solution that will offer long term erosion control and vegetative reinforcement.
