Salix are the UK’s largest grower of native wetland and wildflower plants with over 25 years’ experience and two state-of-the-art native plant nurseries. We grow millions of native wetland and riparian plants annually, providing the foundation for successful biodiverse restoration projects across the UK.
Each plant is grown using UK provenance seed, carefully selected to compliment local ecological requirements. This commitment ensures our planting schemes support local wildlife, create habitat and thrive long-term in the environments we help restore.
We can grow over 270 native species from mountainous peatland species through freshwater, meadow and grassland species. Our range of species has been extended to include salt marsh species, sand dune species and coastal wildflowers. Our unique nursery facilities have access to both freshwater, marine and into tidal waters.
Our two nurseries Croxton and Laugharne, specialise in different areas of production supported by our on-site coir manufacturing and R&D efforts. This allows us to control the quality of our products and innovate in our growing practices.
