Salix restored 600 m of eroding saltmarsh at West Thurrock using brushwood fascines and native plug plants to retain sediment, reduce erosion, and re-establish diverse vegetation, enhancing habitat for fish, invertebrates, and birds while improving SSSI status and providing natural flood protection.
